Terms of Use

Welcome to STUDY w HK (“the Site”). These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and virtualHi, the operator of the Site. By accessing or using the Site you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Site.

1. Free use

All calculators and guides on the Site are free to use with no signup required. You may score, read and use the results for your own reference. The licence is non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable.

2. Reference only — not advice

The tools and guides are general reference material, not admissions, legal or other professional advice. Allocation and admission outcomes are governed by the Education Bureau and the schools under the arrangements they publish. The Site does not warrant that any estimate, timetable or process note will match your child’s result. For a specific choice of school, rely on Bureau documents and the school itself.

3. Prohibited uses

You may not:

• Use the Site at scale via automated tools (scrapers, bots) in a way that interferes with other users
• Reverse engineer, decompile, modify without authorisation, or commercially resell the Site
• Remove, obscure or circumvent advertising on the Site
• Present the Site’s output as an official Education Bureau or school result

4. No warranty

The Site and all its features are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis with no express or implied warranties of any kind, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, uninterrupted or error-free operation. Bureau and school rules may change, and the Site’s content may be revised to match.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, virtualHi and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the Site, or from reliance on its calculators or guides.

6. Intellectual property

The Site’s code, design, guides and other content are owned or properly licensed by the operator. The intellectual property in the marks, ranks and other inputs you type into a calculator belongs to you — the Site claims no rights in it.

7. Third-party services

The Site uses Vercel (hosting and performance monitoring) and, after you accept, Google AdSense and Google Analytics. Feedback submissions are processed by Web3Forms. See thePrivacy Policyfor details. Third-party services are themselves governed by their own terms.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after a change indicates acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. Any dispute arising out of these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong SAR courts.
