What this site is
This site covers Hong Kong government and aided school admissions: SSPA internal-assessment weights (999632 for the current Primary 6 cohort, and 88844222 from Primary 5 of 2026/27), a banding estimate, Primary One Discretionary Places points, and the timelines and process guides. Calculators add up the term marks or points items you type; the guides explain what that number means and which page to read next. The pages are written and checked byVivian Leung, a Hong Kong parent who has been through the SSPA process and keeps the pages in step with the Bureau’s yearly publications. She is not an Education Bureau officer. The site does not offer paid admissions consulting. Every rule defers to the documents cited on the page.
Start with the timeline for your child’s year group. Primary 6 in 2026/27 is the 2025/2027 cycle, still scored 999632, with Secondary 1 entry in September 2027. Primary 5 that year is the first 88844222 cohort (2026/2028 cycle). Put the school’s actual term marks into the calculators. The two cohorts need different settings; do not mix the weights. Treat every output as an estimate: a band especially cannot be cut from public data. Guides show a last-reviewed date. If a date or weighting disagrees with the Bureau’s latest notice, follow the Bureau.
